Haven't been here in a while

I haven't been posting in quite a few days now. I've been so busy. I have this assignment due today... it's taken me aaaages to get it done.. It's about 70 pages. But Hurrah! It's done now... and I might be able to start getting a little more sleep each night!
Although I still have a lot more work to do because I still have 7 assignments.
So this is just a quick blog to let you know I'm still alive (just!) and I will be back in full force soon!

Love,
Jen

3, 4 and 5 days!

Yes that is right, 3, 4, and 5 days until events from best weekend ever! Well maybe not the best, but I am so looking forward to it!

It is 3 days until my exam. I'm sort of excited, sort of not. It's a bit freaky thinking how soon it really is, but I know I am prepared and I had a really good rehearsal yesterday. *hurrah*. I was really shocked with how I played I almost stopped to listen! (odd I know!) Also after my exam I get to go shopping/dinner with mum and dad and maybe andrew and bess. That is also exciting.

4 days until Saturday. I am looking forward to Saturday for 3 reasons! Firstly, in the morning I have a meeting with Moni and Sarah. Normally people go '*urgh* meetings' but we are having breakfast, watching narnia and then getting even more organised for K4C this term! Whooohoo!
Then after this I am going shopping with Moni, Grace, maybe Sarah, Jackie and Bess. Hurrah! I dont' have much money, but that is ok!
And my third reason for *hurrah* on Saturday is that Human Nature's new album comes out! YAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY Bring it On!!!!!! I heard previews for it... *in love*.. it's sooo brilliant! I love "Can't Hurry Love"... oh it's so divine!

Then Sunday... 5 days to go... ok. Don't laugh at me (not that I can stop you). Yay for the last Human Nature concert for the year!!!!!!! Bec and I are heading off to Revesby to see them in concert. I'm so excited! Right after the new album comes out and all. It's wonderful!!!!

So this is my exciting weekeend.

Yesterday I had a nice day. I had a flute lesson at 8am, then had a rehearsal at Lewisham at 10:30 (which meant leaving straight after my lesson finished). My rehearsal is spoken about above so I won't repeat. I then ate... a lot and then went shoppign wtih Sarah.
I have to run now.. will finish this later. Class has started again.
xx

It is Well

I love this song

When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll,
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
'It is well, it is well with my soul'.

It is well, with my soul. It is well, it is well with my soul!

My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought,
My sin, not in part, but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more.
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord oh my soul!

It is well, with my soul. It is well, it is well with my soul!

And Lord haste the day when my faith shall be sight!
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll.
The trumpet shall sound and the Lord shall descend.
Even so! It is well with my soul!

It is well, with my soul. It is well, it is well with my soul!

What a glorious thought! My sin has dissapeared. It's not a problem anymore! Oh how I can't wait for the day when Jesus returns. It will be better than anything I can imagine. I was just about to go to sleep when I was thinking about church today and the things I learnt and sang. That song we did this morning. I just love the lyrics.
We are looking at Ezra at church. I remebered one of the speakers saying at WKC that no matter what sermon we are listening to, we should get something out of it - even if we have to make it up! So I've been trying really hard to listen and understand. Today the main thing I got out of it was that we need to put God's kingdom first. He will supply all our needs despite opposition and his plans will not be thwarted.
The Israelites put God's kingdom first in building the temple and were then blessed.

waiting for toast.

I thought I would post here while I wait for my bread to toast in the toaster.
Today I think will be a good day. I am feeling a little tired, but I think that is probably mostly attributed to the exercise I did this morning. Yes! Most of you will be shocked... Jen.... doing exercise. It does happen sometimes!
I think i'm on this whole fitness spree thing at the moment. I'm hoping if I get fit, I will be more healthy.

My toast just popped up but it's not quite done. Why is that the general of electric couldnt' invent a toaster that you don't have to put down 1.5 times *Laughs!*
My toast is extra special today. It says "i love you" and "smile :)". It's very exciting. Yay for toast stamps, and yay for Sarah.

Speaking of toast stamps... well not really.. more speaking of Sarah. Some of us girls from school went to her house last night. Elly, Bec, Mel and I. We had a girls night in. Caro couldn't come :( she is away.
It was good everyone brought food. Mel brought vego lasagne (man... that was soo tasty.. i could eat that anyday!), Bec brought pasta.. also a favourite. Elly made scone/muffin type things... yay for ad lib cooking and I brought trusty malteaser bars and Sarah brought salad and drinks!
We ate and watched "She's the Man" and "Suddenly 30". Both really good movies. I was starting to get quite stressed about my exam yesterday so it was nice to go out/in and just have a nice relaxing night. Helped put everything back in perspective again. So thankyou girls!
I got home quite late, but I'm glad I went.

Not a lot in other news. Went shopping for a bit with mum yesterday, that was nice. Haven't done that in ages.

Going to see HN for the last time this year (yes... laugh away) in a week and a day. I'm really looking forward to next weekend. Friday, my exam; Saturday, shopping with moni and motown II comes out; Sunday, church, HN. Hurrah! I'm excited.

Well my toast is nearly eaten now.. one more bite so that means it's time for me to go and get organised and do some work for the day!

Love,
Jen

P.s. Happy Birthday Alistair!!!!!!!!!!

Art Gallery

First of all... if you can only see white text on a white background... update your browser!!!!!

Today I went to the art gallery for uni. It was really nice, I felt very cultured going to an art gallery!! I caught the train in with kat from uni, yolanda, abishek, elly and tommy (i met him on the train). It was fun.
We got to Wynyard and then walked to martin place where I got a photo of Nat Barr from sunrise - if you were there today you'll know that was a big deal!!!

We then went to the Domain (where the NSW art gallery is) and did some sketching. We had to sketch this sculpture (see below) and then do the negative space (by jove that was hard!) then we had to do an abstract landscape of the scenery. That was fun, but I didn't really get it so i'm going to redo mine with the photo I took.

After our little sketching escapade we went into the art gallery and looked at the Aboriginal gallery. It was amazing. My favourite work is Lin Onus. It was in the Aboriginal Art gallery.TIt is a sculpture representing the Indigenous Australians reclaiming the land. It is a totally amazing sculpture! You can see an image at http://www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/collection/browse if you go to Aboriginal collection, then sculptures etc. It was so rad!

After this we had a little talky thing, rather boring then went to a character talk. This was kinda fun (a bit weird though!). And then had a look around the gallery.

Kat, Loz and Laura and I then went and had lunch at Wynyard and then went home. It was good.

I'll post some photos now. The first is of Nat Barr! Then the sculpture and my drawing of it.
