Sarah...

Hello All...

Well! Today is the 15th June which means it is My Sarah's Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sooooo... happy happy birthday my dear!
This post is dedicated to you - so that means I have to write something about you. Well what can i say?
Sarah is fantastic, a woman of God. That is the most important thing to start with I think! Since Sarah has become a Christian I have just seen her life change crazily!
Sair, you inspire me so much, the way you always strive to be Godly and seek his will for your life. The way you remind me of who I am supposed to be! I just pray that God will use you for wonderful things - which I am sure he will, and I can think of nothign more wonderful than rejoicing with you in heaven!
There is so much that I can thank you for.
Thankyou for being there when I need someone to talk to and cry with, thankyou for being there when I am laughing and could jump as high as the moon! Thankyou for the long chats we have a night thinking about how we should live and who we want to be, and thankyou for the early mornign SMS's to wish me a fantastic *fairy* day. Thankyou for rescuing me when I need to, and thankyou for giving me the space when I need it.
But thankyou most of all for always loving me no matter what, and not forgetting me.

Sarah, you are a wonderful young woman, and I am thank God for the 18 years of life you have had. It is my prayer that he might grant you many more to spend with me, glorifying him in all that we do.
Here is your story, for the whole world to see how wonderful you are and how much you mean to me!

Sarah the Fairy

and

Jenny the Little Dormouse

For Sarah, my true fairy princess.
Love forever and ever.

It was a bright sunny morning. The birds were chirping, the grasshoppers were bouncing across the dewy grass, and Sarah the fairy was awakening to the wind whistling it’s wake up tune.

She climbed out of her bed, hidden at the bottom of the garden in the bushes, fluttered her wings and was ready to set off for her adventures. She couldn’t wait to see what the magic garden had in store for her today.

Sarah the fairy fluttered about, placing her sweetest fairy blessings on everything and everyone she passed. She smiled at the flowers, sprinkling her fairy dust on them. She even said hello to the bees! Nothing could ruin this beautiful day!

Sarah the fairy jumped through the meadows and fields and came to a little clearing. She could hear a peculiar sound coming from the may bush. She tiptoed across to the bush holding her wand out (in case she needed to perform any quick magic spells) and bent down close to listen.

“There is to be a ball!” whispered a little voice.
“A ball?” thought Sarah the fairy, “That’s sure to be fun!”

Before she could flutter away, back to her home at the bottom of the garden, a little head popped out of the bushes. It was Jenny the little dormouse.
“Why hello Jenny the little dormouse”, said Sarah the fairy, “I hear there is to be a ball!”
“Yes, Sarah the fairy. I was just coming to your house to tell you, but it seems you found me first!” said Jenny the dormouse.
“Does that mean that I am being invited? Oh how exciting, I love a good ball!” Exclaimed Sarah the fairy.
“The prince is holding it to find himself a fairy-friend. All the creatures in the woodland are invited! But he must, must, pick you Sarah the fairy. I cannot think of anyone more beautiful than you in the whole land. Oh, I would just love for you to be our fairy princess!” said Jenny the little dormouse.
Sarah the fairy blushed a light pink.
“Oh Jenny,” she said, “I would so love to be the fairy princess, I do quite like the prince. And you would be my royal best friend.”
“I would like that,” whispered Jenny the dormouse, “but now you must get ready for the ball!”

Sarah the fairy fluttered away after giving Jenny the little dormouse a huggle.

She now had to get ready for the ball, but what to wear! Oh, there were so many choices! Her large variety of purple and green table clothes made her decision so difficult, which one to choose!? She eventually decided and was off to the ball.

When she arrived all her friends were there, Adam the rabbit, Rebecca the racoon, Andrew and Bess the squirrels and Jenny the little dormouse. There were so many creatures everywhere she looked!
Sarah the fairy was nervous, she knew the prince was a wonderful boy, and she couldn’t bear to make a fool of herself in front of him.

Before she had a chance to say anything to Jenny the dormouse, the trumpet sounded and the prince walked out. Sarah the fairy blushed light pink again and she gazed into the prince’s eyes. She had never seen anything as lovely!
The waltz began, the violins playing their soaring notes above the melodious orchestra. Sarah the fairy was dancing with Jenny the dormouse, however, she could not keep her mind off the handsome prince only a few feet away from her.

Before she could take another breath Jenny the little dormouse had stepped away and Sarah the fairy was in the arms of the prince. They danced and danced gazing in each other’s eyes. It seemed like only seconds had passed when it came time for the prince to announce his fairy-friend.
The trumpet sounded again, and before long Jenny the dormouse was at Sarah the fairy’s side waiting for the princes decision.

The announcement could not come fast enough, and when Sarah the fairy’s name was announced thunderous applause filled the atmosphere. There was a cacophony! Sarah the fairy joined the prince at the front of the ball garden. The prince and Sarah the fairy kissed. Nothing in the whole of the woodland was ever more beautiful, Jenny the dormouse had tears in her eyes as she gazed at the beautiful couple.

But the story didn’t end there. Sarah the now fairy princess made Jenny the dormouse her royal best friend and they now live in the fairy palace having the best time with each other. They still go out into the meadow and the clearing and play together placing fairy blessings upon all who come near.

The End.

I love you Sarah!!!! xxxxx

Winter Camp 2005

Hi all,
I thought that while I am on my lunch break (or theoretical lunch break i.e. study break), I would post here since I haven't since last week.
To answer the guy who asked about how my knee is going, it is ok... physio is good, you need to make sure you do all the physio they get you to otherwise it won't strengthen. Infact at this moment I am cycling to strengthen it. it takes talent to type and cycle! LoL Otherwise it is quite good, I was able to start driving again a little while ago. I injured it a little on the weekend, I tripped (see later for more details) and so I have hurt it a bit which will slow down the healing process - but i'll get there.

So Winter Camp, since I made the title of this blog "Winter Camp 2005" I ought to write about it hey!

Well we might do a run down of the camp and then talk about it and what I learnt in general a little further on.
Winter Camp is run by Presbyterian Youth every June long weekend. It is for people in year7- to about 25. The camp is fantastic, it's at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. This year I was a study group leader (for some of they year 7 people).
Friday night I took up Monica and Amanda from my church in the car, we had a great time chatting on the way up, eating maccas etc! :-P
When we got to camp we registered and found a room and sort of walked around introducing people etc. We then had games to get to know our study groups. My group was Hubba Bubba and we had 7 campers and my co-leader. We made a stickometer which was the point scoring method for the camp -was fun!
After this we had night session where we sang, had a devotion and stuff. Was great! Then it was supper and bed. My rooom was fantastic all 11 girls went pretty much straight to sleep! Thanks guys! :D

Saturday we got up showered, ate breakky... then I was supposed to go to a study leaders meeting, except i ended up in hospital. We had matresses on our floor in the room because there were too many campers for the amount of beds. On the way to the meeting, I tripped and fell on my knees straining the ligaments. But all is good now, feels like it never happened!
When I got back we had morning tea, and study group (which was awesome!) then we had lunch, then sticky wars! hehe... lots of goop and stuff! :D then free time, the dinner, then the price is right! then night session etc..

Sunday was relatively similar, we had a scavenger hunt as our activity during the day, and then we had Revive! come at night (they are a christian band!!!!!! :D:D:D:D was awesome.... hehe moshing...)
Monday was goodbye day so we had morning session, bible study, lunch then goodbye session. Was sad to leave everyone, but camp was wonderful!

Camp was great this year, it was the seventh winter camp i've been on, the first leading. I got so much out of camp, was challenged by God's word brought to us by duncan, and it was so encouraging to see the girls from my church really get into camp and get so much out of it! God is greaet! and I am so challenged to live a Godly life!

Thanks to all who were involved in the running of camp, it was fantastic! Can't wait for next year!!!

I'm so tired! I did a whole day at prac today - it was funish, except i got bored. If i ever have student teachers when I start teaching I'm going to actually read the book they give so that I know what they are supposed to do and I'm going to give them things to do!
But yes..;.

What Have We Become?

Ponder on these lyrics...

A preacher shuns his brother 'cause his bride's a different colour,
And this is not acceptable, his papa told him so.
It was love that he'd been preaching, but this was overreaching,
The boundary stretching father than his heart woudl chose to go.

Like an angel with no wings,
Like a kingdom with no kings.

What have we become?
Self indulgent people.
What have we become?
Tell me where are the righteous ones?
What have we become?
In a world degenerating,
What have we become?

Speak your mind, look out for yourself
The enter to it all is a life of wealth
Grab all you keep cause you just live once
You've got the right to do whatever you want
DOn't worry about others or where you came from
It ain't what you were, it's what you have become.

Mum and Dad are fighting, as Rosie lies there crying,
For once again she's overheard regrets of their mistake.
With christmas bells a-ringing, little Rosie'd leave them greiving,
The gift she'd give her family would be the pills she'd take.

An inconvient child
She wasn't worth their while.

What have we become?
Self indulgent people.
What have we become?
Tell me where are the righteous ones?
What have we become?
In a world degenerating.
What have we become?

Speak your mind, look out for yourself
The enter to it all is a life of wealth
Grab all you keep cause you just live once
You've got the right to do whatever you want
Don't worry about others or where you came from
It ain't what you were, it's what you have become.

What about love?!
What about God?!
What about holiness?
What about mercy, compassion and selflessness.

You know it's true, he is there for me and you, dosen't matter what you do....

What have we become?
Self indulgent people.
What have we become?
Tell me where are the righteous ones?
What have we become?
In a world degenerating.
What have we become?

Think.... it's interesting and good.

Hey all, I was just listening to that song, and yeah. I like it, but it's kinda good to ponder for a little while. I had my birthday party last night, thankyou to everyone who came!
It was really nice to have so many people there and feel really loved. I hope you all had fun, and I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to all of you heaps, but all the same it was so special to have you here. I'm not going to write much here yet, I have some uni work to do today, so I am actually going to stop for a moment and get that done, and if I have time.
