Uni...teaching...life... so busy
Hi Everyone,
I thought since I haven't posted since Thursday night I would do so, again, before I go to sleep. Things are pretty flat out in my life at the moment, I feel like I'm waking up, going to uni, coming home, teaching/studying, going to bed. It seems as though that is a relatively realistic picture as well. The end of semester is such a flat out time, assessments coming thick, hard and fast. Although I have been so impressed and proud of myself with the results I have achieved. It is certainly plain to me that this is something I am passionate about (in the words of Sarah), and something that God had planned for me.
My 18th Birthday was a b-l-a-s-t. I had a wonderful day on Friday - from teaching in the morning where my kids sang happy birthday and "for she's a soggy marhsmallow and sausages on the bus" (for those of you who are struggling.. think "for she's a jolly good fellow"), to having bacon and eggs for breakfast when I came home, to bible study where the girls had a party type thing for me, to physio where he was impressed with my progress, to dinner in the city with Bec, Sarah, Steve, Andrew, Bess and Dad, and then Star Wars Episode III with them as well. All in all, my birthday was busy but awesomely fun!
Saturday I spent doing an assigment, a teaching presentation for Music Movement and Dance. It went well, I was teaching instrumental playing for a stage 2 (years 3-4) class. The piece I did was called Sengko, it is indonesion and good fun. The actual presentation went well - I was very dissapointed with it on the day, but I am a rather harsh critic of myself and I came out with a distinction plus.
Sunday I had church which was good, all about your priorities and how Paul farewelled the Ephesians - very good reminder and yeah I really appreciated it. I then came home did a little more work on my assignment and went out to the shops (Castle Towers) with Andrew and Bess. We bought them some sheets and an electric blanket... I bought a heater and a Lemon Zester (don't ask!) hehe. We then went for coffee and hazlenut chocolate cake... was soooo good. I also bought flowers. :-) ::smiles::
Monday was uni, it was alright.. my presentation and science (lots of fun!). Things went well Monday. I also had bible study which was good and some of my students didn't turn up - Thankyou God!
So that brings me to today! Our Music Composition is very cool which is another answer to prayer! Life is then on the whole busy but manageable - and thankyou to my bible study group who are praying for me for all the work (and how stressed I was about it last night), God is certainly answering your prayers, and I thank you for yeah praying and sustaining me in that way.
Oh well on that note I might go, do the necessary things before bed and clock in.
P.S. Looking forward to my party on friday! Stay tuned for photos from various events :-P
In Christ,
Jenny
